Some years ago I had a friend who, in the course of conversation, would lean forward and say in a confidential tone "And what do you think about it all?"

In the intervening years I have said the same to many friends, most of whom have replied "And what do you think about what?" while others have been nonplussed.

Every year at Christmas a welcome shower of newsletters has come through our letterbox and we have been pleased to receive and read them. In recent years I have become very dissatisfied with my attempt, and few newsletters have been sent.

The newsletter has proved too rigid a medium to convey what has been happening, or everything we wanted to write about: family, outstanding books I have read, and Christian matters. Not an author, I hope it will l help me to express thoughts in the absence of other outlets. And you may even enjoy reading it!
